Rus Snyders - Pro Staff Member - Fishing
Rus Snyders spent his first 29 years exploring the waters all over Northern California and the Bay Area. His passion for fishing developed at an early age. As a kid, him and his father would venture into the Pacific to target salmon, halibut, and tuna. His grandfather preferred camping out in the woods, and that is where he learned to fly fish for trout. Once he was of driving age, his focus shifted to tournament bass fishing.
Early competition years were spent in a small zodiac raft, loaded to the brim. At 19 he saved enough for a bass boat, and began competing in many tournaments including FLW, Bassmaster Opens, and the US Open. By 2006 he shifted gears and began guiding on the CA Delta and Clear Lake.
After a couple vacations here in Nashville he was convinced that this is where he would spend the next chapter of his life. After realizing how many back waters and rivers there were throughout Middle TN, he decided to give kayak fishing a try, and has fell in love with it ever since. Rus fishes from a Wilderness Systems ATAK 120 and competes in the KBFTN tournaments.
